I travel a lot, often on a budget, and I write down what everything cost.
Spent & Seen is the travel notes I wish I'd had before each trip: the route, the hotels, the bus stations and the prices, so you can plan your own trip without guessing. Most of my trips are done without a car, with my partner, by train, bus, ferry and shuttle.
How I write
- Real prices, with a date. Every price is what we paid, with the month and year. When I estimate or check a price later, I say so.
- Honest opinions. If something wasn't worth the money, like Juliet's House in Verona, I tell you.
- Only what I've seen. When I only saw a place from the outside, or didn't try something myself, I say so.
- Affiliate links stay honest. Some articles link to tours or tickets I'd recommend. They're marked, and a commission never changes my opinion.
